Preparing for marriage is one of the big steps taken in a person’s life or in the relationship of a couple.
Attraction
This is normally the first step of a relationship. Something must attract your attention to a specific person. Physical appearance is one of the important factors in interpersonal attraction that social scientists have studied. The reason for this is because a person’s physical appearance is the first thing you would notice about them. Before you can know anything about their personality, intelligence, or how similar they are to you, a physical attraction occurs first. Similarity is another factor. Similarity can greatly add to the attraction we have to another person. For example, if you are a avid video gamer and meet someone eh is also a avid video gamer then that will be an automatic attraction. This similar interest will open a doorway for both of you to have one similar thing to spend time doing, hence deepening and strengthening the relationship. What is crucial about such criteria as intelligence/education and others such as personal traits, lifestyle, financial statuses, and sexual looks/ behavior etc. These are the things that draw us to each other as humans.
Getting involved
Finding an attraction leads to getting involved with another person, this simply means spending time with them doing mutual activates. As two people begin to get involved this leads to a deepening relationship. They begin to open up to each other and show more o their persona to the other person. They begin to see each other’s flaws and personal issues. On the other hand, they also begin to see each other’s strengths and positives In a greater light. This gives both individuals the sight on who the other person truly is. Getting truly involved in each other’s lives. If one individual is upset, it begins to cause the other one to get upset. If one is happy it causes the other to feel joy as well.
Dating / hanging out
This is where time is spent getting to know and learn more about the person with which we have great interest in. making memories and learning of each other. One may easily detect from dating if the person checks off their list of qualities for a potential husband or wife. You will be able have experiences with the other person in many different settings, both public and private. You will be able to see their natural reactions to different circumstances. You will also be able to see the person in and out of their comfort zone. Spending time with the person in these various different life settings will assist you in seeing the person's true character.
Selecting a life partner
This is another important step leading into the big step of preparing for and then marriage. Many couples cohabit on the grounds that it permits them to be sure they are compatible before they marry. But cohabitation as a preparation for marriage is one way that people test to see if they can truly live with the other person. No matter the situation and how you prepare. The decision to get married to another person is very serious and should be done with much thought and planning. There is no set formula on how to make this decision as each situation is different and should be thought out and planned thinking of the personal circumstances between the two individuals. After the decision is made to between the two individuals to become life partners, they should then make plans on how and when to get married and move in together, thus beginning their lives as husband and wife.
